When everybody was assembled on stage the director said, "Okay everybody! First thing....wave at your Mom and Dad!"
Next was some good group Bible song singing.
Then the "big" kids cleared the stage for the "Otters" group (2 1/2 year olds for the most part) solo performance. This is one of Claire's best friends, Nicholas.
The song was "Itsy Bitsy Spider". The little girl on Claire's right, Stephanie, was SHOUTING the song. It was the CUTEST!
Claire, for all her, shall we call it...energy, just really loves life in general, but school especially. I love her expression here!
And then the bigger kid groups took over the stage. This one, I think they're the Dolphins, are singing, can you guess, the classic, "I picked up a baby bumble bee." Darn the political correctness now....it ends with "All clean" and skips the "I'm barfing up my baby bumble bee" verse which is how my lucky generation got to sing it.
The little blonde in back with the sweetest smile is our friend Jackilyn "Jack Jack" Rochford. They have been stalking us during our Marine Corps career and have now been with us at three of our four duty stations. If they move to Japan....I'm going to consider a restraining order. :) All kidding aside, her Daddy is in Afghanistan, on his 5th deployment in as many years. Please remember the Rochford family, John, Julie, Jordan and Jack Jack in your thoughts and prayers!
This is an older still group, can't remember the water animal name for this group, but it was the funniest song where they were sticking out their bottoms and tongues and thumbs and dancing around. Our neighborhood friend and fellow military wife, Kerry's daughter is the sweet little Chinese girl in the front who is really getting into it. :)
I love the next two pictures. Claire just LOVES Gigi and loves to play "Paddy Pake Paddy Pake" with her. Mick says that poor Gigi is going to have submarine vision due to her sister always in her face, but you can tell by the expression on her face in the second shot that she loves Claire just as much as Claire loves her!
Gigi is doing great with the socks on her hands to keep her from picking at her bandages.
Sisters are FUNNY!!!!!
A BIG thank you to Claire's teacher, Miss Sara, for taking such great care of my little Minnie Mouse spider girl. Claire LOVES school and when I drop her off every morning we leave each other with saying "PEACE OUT!" and then Claire follows it with "HOOK 'EM HORNS! GOOOOOOOOOOO TEXAS!!!!!!!!"
She may be T-R-O-U-B-L-E but she's also a C-H-A-R-M-E-R! :)
