Hachigamine Park

We had a VERY fun adventure today!!!! 

You know when you smile so hard and so wide that your face hurts?  Well, that is how I felt when I went down this!!!!!

Roller slides are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun!!!!!!!!!!!! 

You slide down on a little piece of cardboard with a handle. 

So it's a bit dangerous.  But hey!  This is Japan!  Home of the do-it-yourself tram up the mountain!

 And just let yourself in and press the button.  Be sure to close both doors!

 A little bigger.  Remember to close both doors when you get off too.

I don't know why, but this just really, really tickled my funny bone.  A do-it-yourself tram!  I laughed all day!

They don't have these silly guard rails down the whole slide.  Just a few curves.  That's a few soccer and baseball fields below sans grass. 

Gigi even got a ride!  (At the end....don't worry....not taking my baby on this one!)

Claire rode down halfway with Daddy and then when it slowed and there was a ladder....she begged to get off and they walked down the rest of the way!  Of course, after she was down, she talked big about what a great slide it was and how she wanted to "DO IT AGAIN!"   We didn't fall for it.  :)

It's really long and takes a few minutes to go down.  There's Mick about halfway down. 

That's him with the red hat.  We took turns riding like we were at an amusement park.  An amusement park that only costs 300 yen to ride the FUNNEST roller coaster EVER!  ☺

 When I was on my turn on the BEST SLIDE EVER Mick took the girls on the Obstacle Course. 

The aprons show that they were paying obstacle course members instead of getting off the slide in terror (Claire!) and coming down it halfway. 

It was like a Marine Corps obstacle course. Hard core!  There were 29 stations and they hit every one of them.

Their favorite station was the zip line!  :)

So, Mick....how exactly did my big girls get down there? 

WHAT??????  How did Claire get down there?  And who is taking the picture?  Is Gigi down there too???  ☺

Ah, to heck with it.  Gigi....forget about rules....just drive us home, okay?

Such a fun trip!  Only about a 15 minute drive from base and very inexpensive.  300 yen (Current conversion makes that about $4.20) per cardboard handle thingy.  Obstacle course was about that too.  There's tons more to do there too....another day!  There will DEFINITELY be another day at Hachigamine Park.  I will even learn how to pronounce it before next time!  ☺
