On our way home from the beach playground, we pulled into the "1,000 yen...3 cuts" haircut place to see if they could get the girls' hair cut.
And I'm telling you....it was awesome! So fast, bright and cheery, the lady who did Audrey and Claire knew exactly what I wanted, it was fabulous!
First off was Audrey. She loved her long hair, but it was getting so stringy and we would argue nearly every day over how it was brushed. "I did brush it!" No, you couldn't have...do it again! "NO!" (It was a ton of fun.)
She probably had 6 inches taken off and I also was able to communicate to the hair stylist that I wanted it thinned out, by holding up Audrey's hair and miming how heavy it was. ☺
Look at all of that blonde hair on the floor!
Olivia was next and she has been loving her short hair, which is adorable on her, and wanted it to her ears.
I didn't feel like a drama meltdown later so I just had him take an inch off. He put her in the Little VIP's Lounge
and let her watch Tom and Jerry...in Japanese, of course!
The funniest part was the vacuum at the end. ☺
So cute and ready for the first day of school! ☺
Claire's hair was in desperate, desperate, did I say desperate? need of a haircut.
I had taken her for her first haircut in Omaha to a really cute KidsKut type place.
Both Audrey and Olivia had their first haircut in a kid place and there was only one in the Tampa area and it was an hour away (although that didn't stop me with Olivia....hers was in Richmond, around an hour away) but with the four kids and the move....it wasn't happening. Where was I? So, we get to Omaha and went for Claire's first hair cut....I wanted to near-bob it, but the stylist really didn't want to do that and only took off an inch or so. She thought it would cut off her curls, but I think it will make them curlier because we get rid of the weight.
SO ANYWAY, Audrey's hair stylist was doing Claire's hair and I pulled down Claire's bangs and motioned around her head and she nodded and gave her the cutest cut! Let's be clear that there was either non-washed out shampoo or syrup from brunch, probably syrup, in her hair, possibly both, and we weren't able to get a comb through her curls. The 3 cuts Spectacular Woman, Ms. Fuji, just snipped it out with the thinning shears, cut her hair and then vacuumed her up. I love the cut and I love her!!!!!!
I love how this shows Claire, with her hands on the wheel, intent on Tom and Jerry, even as she gets her hair vacuumed.
Here's Claire in action on the car at the 3 Cuts in Iwakuni.
Funny that she had a yellow car in Omaha and in Japan!
We're ready for the first day of school tomorrow!!!!!! Haircuts at the 11th hour sealed the deal.
ありがとう (Arigatō!) 3 Cuts!!!!!

They look so cute. I absolutely love fresh haircuts on the boys. Noah would be in love with that yellow convertible.
Love these photos! they all have such beautiful hair and look really cute (and ready for school) after! The photo of Serious Claire cracked me up and actually reminded me a lot of Serious Finn.
BTW i'm really glad we're able to leave comments again!
