Picture Perfect! ;-)

Here are some photos from our trip to Okinawa which tell the story of life with four kids....always chaotic, but memorable and fun!!!

This was a little Zen garden outside of our TLF on the Marine Corps base, Camp Foster.  Everybody look here and smile!
That is Claire's favorite dress and she was so happy to have it out of winter hibernation. There's an old SNL skit of Will Ferrell as Janet Reno that we quote often. Here's the link to the whole skit, but here's the quote.
John Conyers, Jr.: Hi, Janet. It's Representative John Conyers, Jr. from Michigan.

Janet Reno: Oh hi, Conny.

John Conyers, Jr.: Say, Janet, I wanted to apologize to you about my opening statements at your judiciary hearing. I hope I wasn't too hard on you.

Janet Reno: Nothing's too hard on me, 'cause I have nails for dinner, and for dessert I eats A-bombs! Ooo-ow!

John Conyers, Jr.: Yes. Well, Janet, you better be careful 'cause Bob Barr said you deliberately misapplied the Independent Council Statute, and Newt Gingrich said you look like a fool.

Janet Reno: Well, I think Newt Gingrich looks like a perv! So, what are you going to wear to Congress tomorrow?

John Conyers, Jr.: A suit. What are you going to wear to the Justice Department?

Janet Reno: My one blue dress.
I can't help it. That's still funny to me!
So where were we? Oh yes, pictures of my children.  We went to the Officers' Club on Kadena Air Base on Sunday morning. We walked in and I was so proud of my beautiful family. Cut to 45 minutes later when I quickly herded them out because they were, how shall we say it, loud. Had to commemorate the occasion!
I just took this one pictures and said, "That sums it up!" ☺
We ate at Chili's three, or was it four times, and Macaroni Grill (on Camp Foster) twice. You can say what you want about chains, but we get Japanese culture 24/7...a little American relief was welcome!
Mick had the steak fajitas every time!
This was a sign outside of a restaurant in the "American Village" part of Okinawa. While I always say, their English is still waayyyyyyyyy better than my Japanese...the translation is still funny! ☺
We didn't have the deliciousness there, but I'm sure it was great!
Oh and Claire.....there's a picture that I just can't, in good conscience, post, but ask me privately via e-mail and I may send it to you. (Note to 20 year old Claire...YOU'RE WELCOME!) Oh she's funny!

There was a little Putt Putt golf course on Kadena that we went to for a bit.
Won't exactly make our picture for the Easter card (Ha! I have time for Easter cards?), but for the record....Audrey thought of the bunny ears on the bunny first! (Daddy is SUCH a copycat!) ;-)
And it cooled down for a few days and we hadn't packed enough warm clothes for Gigi....so she ran around Okinawa in her pajamas and her one pink sweater (Still the Janet Reno jokes? Really?)!
Whenever she has this expression on her face and her hands like this Mick laughs and calls her "Baby Evil." (Austin Powers)
And this was in the "airport" on our base on our way there....
"WHY CAN'T I GET A SEAT?!?!?!"
And then in the Kadena "airport" on the way home....in pajamas but with a fancy hairdo, courtesy of Audrey!
Because I'm a sweet funny baby, that's why! ☺

It was a GREAT vacation! Hooray for Okinawa!

Oh these pictures are so cute. I love seeing how the girls have grown so much already since last summer. They are all beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to blog. I love hearing about your adventures and seeing the pics of your family.

So much fun! I was laughing out loud about the blue dress and Baby E-vil.
