Tokyo Over Thanksgiving

We are taking an ITT trip to Tokyo over Thanksgiving.  Very excited!  It's a bit crazy!  We get on a bus at 10:30 at night on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and arrive in Tokyo at 3:30 on Thanksgiving.  We have a 3 hour stop in Yokohama where there's a Hard Rock!  Audrey totally wants to collect Hard Rock t-shirts since Aunt Tracy and Uncle Doug got her a Hard Rock shirt in Barcelona this summer.

Here is our itinerary.

The bus trip will not be our favorite, but it saves over a thousand dollars for the fam over talking the Shin.  Corners that must be cut when you have as many people as we do!  ☺

 Plus, if we would have gone up on our own, there's no way we could have gotten reservations for the New Sanno Hotel over Thanksgiving weekend.  It's a MWR (Morale Welfare and Recreation....a military thing) hotel.  We have two rooms since the Japanese are not exactly in tune with our big family.  Our friends the Colettas are also coming on the trip (fellow family of 6!), so we're not the only crazy ones!  I was there at 9:32 when the reservations opened at 9:00 and it was sold out by 10:00!

We have reservations for the Thanksgiving Dinner at 6:00 at the hotel.  And we hear there's a few Outback Restaurants there, so the girls are fired up for some American food.  There's NO.WAY. we were going to Disney after living in Florida for two years, but we are doing the Tokyo Sightseeing Tour!

It should be a great time and we're really looking forward to it!  And GrandDad and Miss Adele said they were going to send a portable DVD player so that will help for certain!  (THANKS!)
