It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's.............

SUPER SNOW WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a day goes by that Claire doesn't change into a costume.  Most days she walks in from Yochien, strips down in the living room and gets right to make-believe business.  But about a month ago she told me, "Mommy, my vewy fave-o-rit Princess is Snow White.  I luuuuuvvvvvvvvvv Snow White!" and that day, on one of the many daily boutique sale e-mails that I receive, was a beautiful Snow White costume which came with a matching costume for a small doll.

I waited a few weeks to give this to her because I knew it would become daily wear and just how pretty can a costume be on October 31 if it has been worn 31 times already?  But I finally surprised her with it one grumpy morning this week and she was sooooooooooooooooo happy!  ☺  Olivia let her dress her special "Olivia the Pig" stuffed animal in the prized doll costume.  Of course it backfired on me later that morning.  She did NOT want to get in her uniform for Yochien.  Who would ever want to give up a get-up like this for a white polo and gym shorts and a fedora?
I'm a frequent shopper at the base's Thrift Store.  It's only open two days a week, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 - 1 and then 4 -7.  It's a rare Wednesday or Friday that I miss the Thrift Store; I have even been known to go to it in the morning by myself and then take the girls for the afternoon run.  WELL....this Wednesday they were putting out their Halloween stuff and as good luck (Good Mommy Karma?) would have it....this was the day that Claire refused to get out of her Snow White gown without a fight, so she missed the bus and I schlepped her into the big country of Japan later.  I was finally coming home around 9:58 and I drove past the Thrift Store and saw a small gathering and remembered the good Halloween gouge I had received last week when we went three (!) times on Friday.  I hastily pulled over and waited for the door to open like it was Best Buy and it was the day after Thanksgiving.

I charged in and COMPLETELY SCORED these darling metal Halloween decorations for $5 each.
You see, I knew we were going to live in this teeny tiny townhome and put more than half our stuff overall, but NEARLY ALL of my decorations, in storage.  I only brought T-W-O, as in 2, rubbermaid containers of decorations and that includes Christmas, the Easter baskets and even some holiday blankets.  I only brought the Halloween baskets and no Halloween decorations.  As September was drawing to a close and the traditional beginning of my decorating season, that lasts longer than the NBA season, was beginning, I was feeling a bit sad.  Hooray for the Thrift Store!!!!
And then I look casually at all of the Princess and dress-up costumes because we, truthfully, need more dress-up like Mick needs more burnt orange clothing, and I see THE CAPE.

I had ordered Snow White clickity clicks online the night before, but doesn't the cape just finish the ensemble?  ☺
We flew off to the park and had a grand Princess time.  And when I realized Claire wasn't wearing any panties, I was extra happy about the cape.

We wouldn't want to moon the other kids on the playground, would we?
I love you Claire Snow White Wagoner!!!!!!
