We live next to the most greenest of thumb people and I always feel bad that they got stuck with us as neighbors.
They have had an amazing home improvement project going on. They first laid pavers in their backyard, which we also did and I love our courtyard, but while our neighbors, let's give them a name, the Woods', did it themselves, I wrote a check to some contractors.
Then they built an outdoor kitchen with a sink and cabinets that they then cut out shake shingles and put on the outside kitchen. Then they built a roof structure and added a tin roof and made it into a Jimmy Buffet tropical paradise. It's truly amazing.
So, that's what we get to look at and they get to look at plastic kids' toys and unkept flower beds and an overgrown tree. Which brings me to today's post.
I attacked the overgrown, never trimmed tree in our front yard today! :) Here is the end result of what went to the curb.
EIGHT, count 'em, EIGHT huge bags!
And speaking of great neighbors, on the other side of us are the Simms'. David borrowed our lawn mower today and after he did his lawn, HE DID MINE TOO! :) Then he and Machell came over to supervise (and help when the limb was too big for my strength) my tree hacking and then their son Logan helped me cut up my fallen limbs and stuff the bags.
What great neighbors! THANK YOU!
Alright, are you ready for the before and after? The "before" is from February because I didn't think to take one today.
And After!
Alright. Audrey and I just decided that you can't tell much from the picture, but let me assure you....it's a HUGE improvement!
Thanks neighbors for being so neighborly! We'll miss you!

I don't know where you get the energy Sue ;)
Thanks for the story about Audrey on her stomach as a baby. I freaked too, especially since she did it in the middle of the night. When C pointed it out that morning, I couldn't go back to sleep and I kept looking in every 5 minutes to make sure she wasn't smothering herself. I have since chilled ;)
